Often taken for family photo albums, I have always been interested in peering into the past and seeing what came before me. I took photography at Spring Hill with the hope that it would help me get better at taking photos and capturing the moment. As the class went on though, I found that my interests expanded into other types of photography such as landscape and artistic effects. I really fell in love with that Cannon T2i DSLR that I had for that photography class because it was a capable camera and had many buttons and dials to allow me to take the shot that I wanted. One day I hope to own a camera that nice, but for now I'm content with my iPhone. It's not a DSLR, but its a fun pocket camera that's always with me. I find a lot of joy taking photos of world around me and sharing them on services like Instagram and Facebook. Photography has become my hobby that I can often take a few minutes every day and share a photo or two. I really like it and I am thankful I was introduced to how much fun taking photos can be.

<georss:box>32.5819485 -85.516584 32.6087035 -85.477102</georss:box>

Things I'm Thankful for: My Brother

My Brother

I orginally thought my brother existed solely to distract my mother from me and for a long time I had no idea where he came from. Like my mother and grandmother, he had simply existed from the beginning of time...or what I have perceived as the beginning of time. He was my first friend and enemy (as far as childhood games go), but he was always there for me. He made the weekend-swaps with my father bearable and was always fun to play with whether it was outside or on the current Nintendo console.

I'm thankful for my brother because thoughout the years we have continued to remain close and best friends. Ultimately, he is one of the very few people I completely trust in my life. I enjoy my time with him because he is somebody I can just share what I really think about any particular subject and him be honest with me. I'm really thankful to have him in my life. I wouldn't replace him for anybody else and would totally take an arrow to the knee for him.

<georss:box>32.5819485 -85.516584 32.6087035 -85.477102</georss:box>

Things I'm Thankful for: Spring Hill College

I decided this year instead of giving something up for Lent I'm going to challenge myself to do things. I didn't want to go to the University of South Alabama and was thankfully taken in pretty late by Spring Hill. Even though I took a bunch of classes that would drive most engineering majors crazy, I enjoyed my time there and really grew as a person. I made a lot of friends with classmates, faculty, and staff that I'm sure will last a lifetime. Spring Hill introduced me to things that I never considered doing before and I discovered parts of myself that I didn't know exist. Everybody there has been there for me through thick and thin and looking back I wouldn't change it for the world. Spring Hill and everybody I met there was exactly what I needed at the time and I'm thankful for all the blessing it brought to my life.

<georss:box>32.5819485 -85.516584 32.6087035 -85.477102</georss:box>
